Silver State Helicopters
December 1st, 2007 -- the unit took a field trip to Silver State Helicopters, a company that trains helicopter pilots. They talked about careers as a helicopter pilot, showed us their "ships", and let us try their neat simulator!!
All of the cadets had the opportunity to sit in the helicopters.
Cadets also simulated flying with the simulator. Some cadets even got to try barrel rolls!!
While we were there, several helicopters took off, including First Flight, Brevard and Indian River county's "Air Ambulance" service.
